It's interesting how I found the JED.COM site.
I have run across only 3 Jeds and one was named after
me. I signed
up for a
Hotmail account, and the id I wanted (jedw) was taken along with jedw1
and
jedw2.
I found it hard to believe that there would be 4 jedw's out
there.
So, I
e mailed them. Jedw responded to me and told me about JED.COM.
When I visited the site, I really couldn't believe it.
And when
I started
reading the letters, it was really funny how we have all had similar
experiences with our name. I've been called Uncle Jed, Hillbilly,
Jethro,
Jedi, Jedidiah, Jeb, Chad, Jeff. I don't know how many times
I've said "No,
my name is like ED, but with a 'J' on the front".
I may be a little different than the other Jeds. From
the bios
I read, it
seemed like Jed was short for something or a nickname. My full
name on my
birth certificate is actually Jed. People tend not to believe
since it is
an unusual name, but my name is just Jed.
I have gone from knowing of 3 jeds to 67 in a matter of seconds!
Jed
