 A bit about me.
 Full name is Jedidiah Bratt.
                      Of course, growing up, Jedidiah was a mouthful so
                      99.997% of the time I have been addressed in my
                      life, it has been by Jed. However, (and I cannot
                      be the only Jed that experiences this) whenever I
                      meet new people, I’m amazed at how difficult it is
                      for most people to grasp my name is “Jed” not
                      “Jeff”, “Jet” “John”, “Jerry” or some other
                      drastic variation of my actual name. In fact in
                      text, it’s even worse. Despite me having my name
                      spelled out right there in my signature [J-E-D],
                      about 13% of the the time, people manage to call
                      me Jeb. And as us Jeds know— Jeb is not even in
                      the same universe of names as Jed is. Am
                      I right?

                    
 Anyhow, the most consistently
                    successful way I’ve managed to set people straight
                    when making new acquaintances, I’ve learned to
                    default to the “Jed— Like JEDI, but without the I”
                    comparison; albeit I’m not a StarWars fan. 

                    I finally embraced the title as well and have been
                    anointed by those closest to me as “Jed Bratt —The
                    Real Estate Jedi” (my profession, naturally) which
                    has served me well and of which I have actually
                    grown quite fond of.  

                    I figured if George Lucas was ever to try to order
                    me around from using the term, he can pound dirt
                    because— it quite literally IS my name, in short.
                    (Was I the only one growing up who felt somewhat
                    disenfranchised in an odd way when reading about
                    “Jedis” on the back of cereal boxes growing up?— I
                    was unsure whether to take it as an homage to my
                    name or as a suggestion that I was one letter short
                    of warrior greatness.) 

                    But, I digress. I’m certain that I am but one of us
                    [now hundreds] of Jeds who live the struggle (and
                    prestige) of having such an honorable name. To all
                    of my fellow Jeds in the world— cheers!
